Here are two of my favorite peaceful places I go to when I need calm.

1. Sitting on a blaknet on a quiet beach just before sunrise. You can feel the ocean spray on your face, it is warm and the birds are just starting to wake up. You can hear the ocean as the tide comes in and out. And watch the sunrise on the horzion.

2. Sitting on a mountain top, early summer, so that it is just warm enough to streach out and layback and look at the clouds. There is a gentle breeze and the flowers all smell good.

Go out and see the sun rise or sun set in the natural surroundings. Look at the face of a new born or months old child. Spend some time with your 80 year old granny and ask her about the happy days that she had. Meditate regularly, cut out negative thoughts from your mind. Be thankful to Lord who had given a wonderful life. Be cheerful and spread happiness to others. Avoid the Company of selfish and bad people. Above all extend your help to other beings less fortunate than you. You will see the gradual change in you, Calm, peaceful and serene thoughts will set in you without your knowing.

Just lie down on a bed or a couch in a room, dim the lights, draw the curtains, cut off outside noise or to neutralize noise play your favourite music in low volume in the back ground. Now close your eyes, take deep breath and relax. Imagine your body is relaxing from toe to head. The sense of relaxation is gradually spreading all over your body, draining all fatigue and waste deposits from your body and renewing every cell of your body. Breath slowly and relaxingly and feel that your body has been light a piece of white cloud floating across the sky. You're losing all sense of earthliness. Now in your mind's eye visualize a place you like most. Beach, forest, stream, mountain or any favourite spot of your choice where you feel your mind has been calm and serene. Make the place your secret retreat for renewing your mind, spirit and body.
Spend as long as you wish in this state and without any conscious effort or strain. Then come out and resume your normal activity.
You'll feel relaxed and charged with energy and at the same time you'll feel that your mind has been calm, quiet and serene.
Its the best way to beat the stress and occupational hazards.
Try it you'll get result.

A walk on the beach, seagulls flying overhead. Sandpiper's running at the tides edge, their beaks poke the sand for their delight. Low tide and gentle breeze sweep over the skin. Sun midway in the sky , glitter atop waves. Five ship's are seen in the distance across the blue ocean top. There off I send my dreams to paradise lost. as I turn to walk along the sand shore, my feet are washed by tide waters and the calouse on my feed are taken away with the movement of sand to touch upon the words left in a caloused heart, Suddenly the warm breeze comes inside and there My day did start.

When I am stressed out heres what I do......

Put myself in a place where I can have some privacy and just sit down. Then I visualize in my mind a place where I feel safe.

I put myself in a field where the grass is green, the sun is shinning, and it is warm but not to hot. I am with a heard of wild mustangs and they aren't afraid to let me ride them or touch them. I sit down near a perfectly shaded tree and just lay there looking at the clouds.

Usually that calms me down and keeps me from stress overload.

a walk in the park, watching the ducks swim by, looking at a nice sunset, enjoying a rainbow after the rain, looking at cute baby pictures, waterfalls, a quiet beach first thing in the morning after the sand has been plowed, curling up in your favorite chair reading poetry or some warm fuzzy story, curling up under fresh bed covers some saturday morning, etc. Thoughts can be anything from listing your blessings, talking to your maker, to planning your dreams, or fanticizing about your own home, etc.

I think about the people in the Cirque de Soile flying in the air. I wish I could do that, even though I am afraid of heights. To soar around and spin and twirl through the air would be soo cool!

Start by sitting in a way that doesn't block anything: sit with your legs uncrossed and with your hands resting on your legs.
Become aware of the feeling in your toes.
Wiggle them and feel the texture of your socks.
Now move that feeling up to your legs and calves.
Close your eyes and breathe in.
Visualise air going into your body and travelling down into your legs and feet. This air is going to clean away all of the tension.
As you breathe out, visualise all of your tension as a dark cloud that you just blow out into the air.

Let breathe in and tell yourself :Be kind to myself. Be kind to those I love.

Hope this ritual helps!
