The are actually called Lady Beetles. I think you got the right answer, male ladybug. Or a male ladybeetle.

The start out as a pupa, look like a spider looking thing and then turn into a lady beetle. I watched a neat video on them before.

A lady bug. Actually lady bugs are beetles so maybe you could call a male John Paul George or Ringo!
