They will speed up your ability to download their ads faster.

Really though, the programs of these that do "work", what they do is take text and moreso images from webpages and compress them to high heaven so they transfer to you faster. They do end up getting to you noticebly faster if you're on dialup, especially if you're looking at a webpage that was written poorly (i.e. with HUGE uncompressed images resized with the IMG tag) but in the process it makes all your pictures and backgrounds come out in visibly worse picture quality due to the compression. Some may also mess with IP protocol settings tweaks but the effectiveness of these are quite minimal and largely depend on the type of thing being transferred. Either way, if you are downloading files and expect a program like this to make it go faster, it won't. If you just surf the web mostly, then it will go faster, but at the cost of quality, and the cost of the program, of course!

I dont think so.
I got Internet Booster installed in my laptop.
But, looks like they dont really help to boost my internet connection.

No because usually they are loaded with viruses and can cause you more trouble down the road then you really wanted.
