It's not a bad idea to use number of world cups won over total world cups, but don't forget that this tournament exists since very long time, and some teams that were pretty good before are not that good now, and vice-versa. Of the teams given,
my top choices would be: France, Italy, Brazil...

Let me see... Brazil can win it, so as Italy and they already proved that, France can win it, Argentina can also win it,Mexico maybe quarterfinals, Uruguay used to be good but now they are just useless, Portugal semifinals,England.......um they are a good team but for the past three world cups they've always finsihed at quarterfinals stage, Sweden not SWEEDEN will get past the group stages, Ghana will not even qualifier especially if they are place in a qualifying group including Nigeria, Spain quarterfinals, Poland will be eliminate at the group stages. The only country missing that could make an impact is Nigeria.... ever soccer analyst is including Nigeria is their top 10 teams of the 2010 world cup, with the young team..... Nigeria u-20s went to the finals of the 2005 under 20s world cup.

many human beings have Spain. that's a fave selection with them being the Euro Cup champions. I prefer to pass with average darkish horses however. i think of Germany is taking part in some super futbol dazzling now and have a reasonably direct line to a minimum of the quarter finals. i've got confidence they are in a position to have the momentum and the terrific possibility to win all of it.
