You can use an ice cube just be careful not to get the welting water inside your monitor. Once it freezes the wax it will pull right off. Make sure you monitor is off when you do this though.
Just like when wax is stuck in a candle holder you can put the candle holder in the freezer and it will shrink the wax and pull right out.

Hope this helps and you get the wax off.
Kathie =)

There is a product called Goof Off that is made to remove stuff like this (wax, tar, paint, etc.). It is powerful stuff so I would only use it if you have a glass screen. It will damage a plastic screen so be careful. It is available at Home Depot near the paint section.

Might try using another candle, and lighting it, and move it close to the candle wax thats spilled on the screen, and it should melt the candle wax.

If it is a normal glass screen you can leave it on without a screensaver on it and it should warm up enough to wipe it off then I would use a glass cleaner to get the rest off.. if it doesn't warm up enough.. try your blow dryer.. or you can ask at the pc repair stores to see if they actually make anything that will dissolve wax without hurting glass.

Good luck, and leave the candles off your monitor.. from now on..
