Love is about giving.
People in general today have an all about me attitude.
What can i get out of it. - Not what can i give.

Love is unconditional.
In today's society, you have to look good, have status, power, etc.

People are judgmental and critical.
If we could all just love each other for who and what they are instead of wanting them to be more like us, the world would be a better place.

The media will tell you it is a feeling. Love is a choice and not a feeling. We make a choice to go beyond the call of duty and care for someone.

I like the way the bible reads on I Corth 13 about this subject.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails....When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me....And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

These are not "feelings" they are choices of a mannerish that will be build into our lives. I do not think that we can do this by ourselves but have to depend on God to help us to change us from the inside out.

The love is there Sweetheart: you don't have to look far, you have to give before you can receive.
I felt like you once, "where has all the love gone" I asked myself, it was there, I never looked. I don't want to get religious but, I have to. I found love in church. I can't explain it but, I find so much peace within myself when I attend mass and listen to the Gospels.
I know I started listening before speaking, I think this was the first lesson I learned. The second was to try and understand the other person and his problem before presenting mine. Another big lesson was to reach out and say "come on, I'll help" to the next man.

I think we all have it within us, we just have to look. I hope I've helped.

the world is movin forward and soon marriage and having a family wont be as common. ppl now, especially young people dont care much for love and only want to "live it up" or are far to busy concerning themselves with their career or education. Also devorce isnt a shameful thing nor is abortion or being a single parent now i think this also doesnt help people in being serious..

“People so seldom say I love you.
And then it's either too late or love goes.
So when I tell you I love you, It doesn't mean I know you'll never go,
Only that I wish you didn't have to.”

People go from one relationship to another these days. There is no commitment to one person. The more you get around the more jaded we become.
