either use vaseline or lotion although vaseline works best.
cover your hands in it then put on a pair of latex or vinyl gloves and sleep like that all night by morning they will be soft as a babys butt!

Well make sure you don't do too much work with your hands - manual labour really - as when I worked in a kitchen I got cuts, burns & rougher skin! That will mean your hands stay in the same condition.
Use products that you have around the house, even if it's a 5min soak in soapy water or wearing gloves at night (with or without creams). Another example - Savlon or E45 may be bought to be put in the first aid kit, but are good moisturisers. Any kind of moisturising cream you have around will be good for any body part, even Vaseline - which I use on my elbows and feet sometimes!

Wash your hands with cold water, no soap, because left over soap dries up and makes your hands dry. And if you are using soap, use plenty of warm water and wash thoroughly. If you don't want to buy fancy shmancy hand products, just get any old lotion, an use it on your hands. You can get those tiny bottles you get for samples or plane rides and bring them around, and put it on your hands, then softly wipe off the greasy parts with tissue. And avoid touching strong subtances, e.g. alcholol, detergent, disenfectant so on.

Smother them in hand cream or vaseline and wear a pear of cotton gloves or socks on your hands when you go to bed. The heat will allow the cream to nourish your skin, leaving you with baby soft hands!

Take some salt into the palm of your hand, not too much. Then add some olive oil or cooking oil and then scrub. Wash it all off and your hands will be soft.

Keep them out of the sun is rule number one. Suggest you use a decent hand cream and wear gloves for an hour that will really soften them up.

Soak your cuticles in olive oil, and massage the remaining product into your hands. Cover with cotton gloves, socks, whatever, and sleep. Voila!

Taking care of them, by washing them when you've been doing anything that could harm them, use washing gloves if you happen to do the dishes. And keeping them clean, staying away from things that could cause the skin to harden.
