I really can't think of anything other than the car seat, and other obvious items such as diapers, wipes, rash ointment, powder, etc., that would need to be new. Since you can sew, I would personally check Ebay first for fabric or search online for inexpensive fabric that you could use for crib blankets, receiving blankets, and sleepers. Have a baby shower too, even if it isn't your first child...it sounds like you either do not have other children OR it's been a while since you had a baby. People probably won't care--maybe a good friend or co-worker would be willing to set that up for you. I probably didn't help much, but hopefully did a little. Everything will work out fine though. : ) Best of luck to you and the new baby!

Animal print is very in this season and if you don't want to go over the top with an animal print top or dress, there are plenty of leopard print accessories around - belts, shoes, etc.
Also, glitter is very in and that's especially good with Xmas coming up - even just a glittery belt or bag will add glamour to any outfit!
Lacey high heels are in too - sounds a bit 80's but again they will add glamour and style to your little black dress for example, which, by the way, is a wardrobe must have cos they never date.
They also look fab with bootleg or skinny jeans.

You don't even need to spend much money! Just look at your old clothes nad things will pop out. Well, you must buy some flat pumps, because they are in. Try to find one that is really funky maybe with bows or sequins or something. Also, if you have some old black stockings, just cut them into black tights, and wear them with a jean miniskirt. Shortsleeves can have holes cut in the sholders, long sleeves can be decorated with fabric, jeans can be made into a mini skirt, and you can buy a packet of sequins or rhinestones to glue on. And I heard there is this kind of substance they sell in tubes to help you glue pictures onto your tee. Also, a new belt or scarf or hat or shoes can make a completely new out fit! And you probably have some clothes you never wore in your wardrobe. Wear them! Now you don't need to spend so much $$$$

I would say definately some nice jeans, maybe some combat pants, both 3/4 length and normal are still in. I have saw alot of white trosers in shops, a nice dress, one of them ones that have that fancy lace stitched on outside, the colourof lace is black and the dress itself grey, for winter i'd say a nice 3/4 length fitted coat, I'm sure if you go into some of the main shops you'll get an idea of whats in and whats not, or flick througha magazine like glamour who always have tips on what to buy and they always have clothes that you can buy with a budget.Remember to buy some knee length boots, heeled or wedge.

I think any wardrobe should have doors, preferably made of wood. A curtain can be used. Also a top, bottom and sides are a good idea too.
