black eye liner or another colour?

i have red hair and i'm 16, havent tried eye liner yet, i was wondering if black would look nice or a different colour. pls help

One of my good friends had red heair and she wore black eyeliner and black mascara for years. She decided to try brown mascara and eye liner after seeing it used in a magazine and she is much happier with the look. It is less harsh and the colour looks lovely with her red hair. She also uses blue eye liner and purple eyeliner and this too looks really funky, but I think if you are just starting to use make up start with brown and then when you are comfortable, experiment a little...there are no rules after all!!!

I have red hair and IM 35.
For some reason black eyeliner has always worked for me.
Only in the outside corners of the eye though , dont go in further than about 1/3 of the outer corner of the eye.
Because my eyelashes are so light (LIght red) also I tend to get my eyelashes tinted
I go a dark blue/black... It looks great and thats hard to believe on a redhead. Brings eyes out

Of course everybodys hair, skin and eyes are different so play around a bit.
A dark brown can be less dramatic on a redhead sometimes.

I have red hair also and I would highly recommend brown eyeliner, especially since its your first time wearing any. Black would be great if you were trying to do some dramatic eyes for a night out, but brown would compliment your eyes and would be great for everyday use. Also, purple is great. It goes very well with red hair. Also, I always wear brown eyeliner, but I have to have black mascara. I won't go brown on that!

It depends, if you want your look to look subtle, I'd use brown eyeliner. I have red hair too and I always use brown because i prefer the natural look. However, if you're gonig out somewhere special or want to acheive a retro look i'd use the black eyeliner. I'd Rimmel and Miss Sporty for eyeliners, they're not too expensive, very effective and they also come in a range of colours.

Guessing you have brown eyes, green would like nice for a contrasting look, on a night out.

If you want a subtle look go for brown.

Black or brown are supposed to work on anyone and they do however i think there are better alternatives ^^,

You need to wear brown babe. Black will look WAY too fake and painted on. If you wear brown, people won't even notice the liner and just notice your stunning eyes.

depends on the colour of your eye, but id say brown might go nicely with your hair and generally looks nice with any eye colour.

Brown is also a good colour it dosent take ages to get off your eyes and you dont look gothic with it on
