sorry, that was a clumsy question...what i meant to say is..will islam purge itself of the more intolerant elements so that it can present a more enlightened tolerant face to the world, or are these idiot suicide bomber mentality people still going to be there 50 years from now

I think the best word for the 21st century is RESPECT.
If we could all strive to respect each other now and not in 50 years time, it would be closer to a perfect world.
But, sadly, this world is nowhere near perfect yet.
