As much as I hate Barry Bonds,I think he is worth 16 million.

If Gil Meche is worth 11 mill, then Bonds is worth 16 million.

No, he's definitely not. He's out to break Hank Aaron's record knowing what he really is: a steroid-using cheater. If he had any decency, he wouldn't come back to tarnish the game. It's not fair for cheaters to break records. He may break the record, but in the minds and hearts of many baseball fans, that record will truly belong to Hank Aaron. What's happening to the integrity of the game? I don't care about Barry cheating Bonds coming back, if he wants the record, he can have it, go ahead, make 22 more home runs and it's yours...I'll still know who the real record-holder is, but it just shows all the more how despicable Bonds is.

he is very much worth another year, but for 16 million?? give me a break! barry is one that should be given more than someone else with his same stats, because people do go watch him. the giants are not that good of a team, but they sell out where ever they go because people want to see barry, and the giants make some of that profit. in the mlb, road teams get a certain percentage of ticket sales for reason like barry. and he sells the tickets at the giants field too. but 16 million?? no way

No one is worth 16 million especially Bonds. The classy thing for him to have done was bow out of Baseball and leave Hank Aaron's record intact. As we know Bonds is not a classy act.

To the Giant's owners, yes. He'll put people in the seats. His talents aren't worth it, but he will pay it off by hitting a few HRs, like last year. The closer to the record he gets, the more people will come watch his games. That is what the Giants owners are thinking about.

Not if your are talking about his production on the field. However off the field due to his chase for Aarons HR record he will rake in the money for the Giants so they will get back more than the 16 million they are paying him.

yes and no because he will generate alot of revenue when he does pass hank this year wit people in the seats and also with the souvenirs with the chase even being one of the oldest in the league he still will be around 300 batting and still will be the influence in the clubhouse if he didn't come back to San Fran the fan base would decrease by at least 25 percent the probably sell out alot of games this year

No. His records, if he achieves any, will always be in question because of his use of steroids, which he STILL denies he took. He is an albatross to any team he is on. He is NOT a team player and loves only Barry. Notice how NO other major league team wanted him!!

Chow!!

Yes, definately. Last year in 2006 he had a good year, if it weren't for all the walks he would have been a LOT closer to Aarons record. He will put in seats and hit in clutch situations. It won't do his team much good though.
