The disadvantages of being rich are the worries of loosing your millions and the ambition to make more and it makes you miserable if you can't do it!
The advantages of being poor is having a simple life, live for spiritual values rather than money! never loosing hope that one day you might be the winner of the lottery and pay your debts, give your family and friends what they need, help the poor because you know how it is to be poor. Share the wealth as a form of gratitude to those who helped you in the past and you could not afford to give back as much as you received.
Both being rich or poor have their lot of advantages and disadmantages. It all depends on how you perceive them. In both conditions, you can be happy or unhappy depending on your attitude.

rich:
don't know who likes you for you, vs your money
gotta worry about people stealing or cheating from ya
may not know what to do in a fincail crisis, such as in the depression when the rich ones commited suicide.
poor:
well, I was poor growing up, and I'll tell you what I appreciate vs people who had more than enough
1: I appreciate the value of a dollar, and I am more prone to taking care of things, as well as searching out a deal ( conservation where possible)
2: I know how to make things, fix things, cook,
all things that you may just paysomeone else to do if you could.
3: I know I can trust my freinds, they aren't sitcking with my because they expect to gain money, or things.
and I guess there are contrasts
if a rich man who is used to eating fine food, and being in comfort, and a poor man are sitting next to each other at the table,
and a hamburger is fed to each,
who enjoys it more?
I feel I a poor person is more concerned with their freinds and faimly, and a rich person has more to be worried about with their things.
How to pay for them,
how to maintain them,
worries of theft,
so on.
but I must say,
having lived in poor, not sure about the next meal,
to having more money than I spent,
to in the middle,
I prefere in the middle.
Just enough to cover all the bills, and a little to go out once a month or so.
That was the happiest time of life.

If you are rich you::
1. pay more tax
2. Have much more commitments
3. have to constantly look over your shoulder for con artists and thugs
4. Live in fear for your family's and your safety.
5. Have to be careful where you are seen
6. Become a target for muggers, gangsters etc
6 have more chances of dying of cancer
7 .have to pay enormous sums for everything
8 have to contribute to charity or a charitable cause.
But if you are poor you do not face all these problems but look forward to good, hard work to earn a modest living and you can dream of being rich one day.

Rich =You loose anonymity, everybody wants some of your money, higher taxes, target for kidnapping.
Poor = Nobody blames you, empathy, you don't feel threatened in bad parts of town, and you still can be happy if you have family/love.
