The period is triggered by no egg being fertilized. The fertilized egg tells the body to keep making the nice plush lining. The other egg would probably get fertilized too, considering the general abundance of sperm delivered at one time. If two eggs were released, but only one baby was made, then either the other fertilized egg stopped delevoping due to genetic errors, or it was absorbed by the body, or flushed out with secretions

Of course it's possible to release two eggs. That where non-identical twins come from!!
As to whether or not you have, I've no idea. Maybe an infection of some kind - espec if you're in pain. Go to the docs.

It is very possible to release two eggs at one time, this is how all non-identical (poly-zygotic) twins are produced. If twins come from the splitting of a single pre-embryo (cytoblast) they are identical (mono-zygotic). The other part of your question does not sound at all serious but if you are worried have a word with your doctor to put your mind at rest.

It is possible. That's how you get unidentical twins.
Identicle twins is when the same egg splits into two. When twins don't look the same, it's because they were two seperate eggs, therefore do not share the same genetic make up.

it is possible to have multiple ova (eggs) release. But it has nothing to with your condition. You may probably be suffering from any infection if such a thing continues. Otherwise it is just normal to have a situation like this.

I have no idea, I'm sure you're fine, but I do know that you can release two eggs in one cycle (if fertilized, they become fraternal twins).
