How many Heterosexuals feel the need to "COME OUT" or have a parade promoting their sexuality. If people would just remember to lock the doors they wouldn't get out. They wouldn't need to brag about something that should remain private. Infact read what the Bible says about it.
They will never convince me they are right and God's book is wrong.

They would like to be supported just like any other individual coming out with a life changing decision. But instead this is who they are and the world does not accept it so they wait till they fill comfortable enough not to care what the world has to say. They just would like to be supported or not looked at as a weirdo or homo-
I think that for anyone coming out that is a great choice and only makes them stronger. Gays have been discriminated greatly as much as the fat, black, or jews. The only thing with this is most people can pretend and live two different lifestyles and decide to hurt other people in the mix or come out and decide to live as normal as the next person with basic life racism in the world and social obstacles.

I once thought all this but then I made a sudden realization when I started dating my boyfriend. Since I was in the closet we couldn't hold hands in public, couldnt look into each others eyes, couldnt do basically anything that a couple should do. I couldnt bring him to family get togethers, he couldnt be there when my mother was on her death bed, the doctors wouldnt allow him in the room when i had cancer because they only knew him as my friend. And when I died I died alone because I didnt come out the closet my lover couldnt be there when it was my time to go.
Of course I am still alive but if I never came out of the closet all of this would be so. You dont have to come out in every aspect of life, at work they do not know my sexuality, at school they do not know my sexuality, etc. But those who know me and care about me will accept it for who I am. Besides how can you be truly happy if you go through your life hiding who you are and who you love?
I guess all I am saying is this. Imagine for a second that you have a girlfriend (if you dont already). You never kiss her in public, you never introduce her to your family, noone knows about you two except for you and her. How long do you think that relationship will last, not long, a relationship has to be acknowledged for it to work.

The pressure of living a lie about a very important part of their life may be the primary reason for "coming out of the closet"

Well, I may not be a gay male, or even a lesbian, but I feel that
it just depends on the person. Some men are gay and keep it a secret all their life, others feel better when they let it out.

I hear a lot of people saying "OMG IM 13 AND GAY HOW DO I TELL MY PARENTS THEY HATE GAYS?" I don't get it either. I mean if you're THAT young they don't really need to know, do they? It's not until you're in your 20s that you've likely found someone you want to spend your life with and marry, and THAT'S when you can break it to them if they haven't figured it out yet.
Better to do it while you don't have to live with them, too. :p

It's trendy, and when they're more or less found out about anyway, or outed by somebody else, what's left to lose. Like Rosie O'D, everybody knew she was a dyke years before she made official, it was like, oh big surprise, we never would have dreamed!
Then there's Lance Bass, well he and his boyfriend were about to be outed by the media anyway, by beating them to the punch he got to be the gay poster boy for awhile, how heroic. Now all his relatives down in Backwater Mississippi who bragged about him for all those years have to pretend they don't know him when his name comes up, LoL.
But hey, each to his own sexuality, besides I'm try-sexual! What's the big deal about proudly proclaiming your pee pee fudge preference anyway?
Shouldn't that include sub categories also, like: I'm a gay cross dresser with a high heel shoe fetish and likes golden showers from incontinent old men. Or I'm a lesbian who can't get off unless hog tied wearing an open breasted open crotch rubber suit while being koochie flogged and forced to perform... well you get the idea.
Shouldn't everybody come out and proudly proclaim their funny odd little sexual delights? Nah, just do it and shut the frock up about it, who gives a hen's cluck anyway, keep it to yourself, we don't want to know...

I guess they just want acceptance for what they are. They can't be accepted if they're hiding behind a persona that they're not really comfortable with.
It's a subtle way of telling people that they're gay. Than donning a dress and make up.

Why should they have to hide their relationship? They come out so they don't have to do that. That is who they are and they shouldn't have to hide it or keep it secret. They should be proud of who they are. I don't know why people think they should keep it private when straight couples flaunt their relationships in public.
