I need to write about a time when I was angry/sad/happy etc. But my brain is not wanting to work, any one know of something that could help jog my memory? Or something that might help

Listen to older music. For instance the music you listened to when you were younger. Memories always flood me when I do this.

I'm an author so believe me I've had more than my fair share of writer's block! I usually find that if I can't write, the "atmosphere" is incorrect. Writing is a very personal thing for me so it has to feel just right - no distractions whatsoever, no sounds, no people behind me. This bothers me so much I'm getting a laptop so I can take it into privacy.

If that isn't the problem, I'd guess it's because you're trying to force inspiration, and ideas can't be forced. I find that I get ideas out of the blue - just stop thinking about it and you might find something randomly comes to you.

Try to remember a favorite summer vacation or christmas.
Think of the first time you rode a bike and who taught you or the first time you went skating etc.

think back to when you were younger maybe that will help like havin g a mate you were close to but then it started falling apart when you had alot of things to deal with as it was not including your friend talking from experience

a death of a family or friend for sad.
angry when you couldn't get what you want or when no one understood you or when you were betrayed or lied to?
happy when you received a surprise or present or something unexpected happend?

PS: i once wrote about a time when i was sad, it was when my granddad passed away.
