As you have asked for the cd writers, let me tell you, cd writers are cheap but the problem is, even if you are having a re-writeable cd, you would need some download from cafe and write and some won't have writers in their cafe or won't allow. So pen drives come with many ranges 128MB to 8GB size, accordinlgy the prizes also vary. If you buy one, every comp has usb slots and so you can use them to take the data from any where without paying any peny for CD-writing.

So the conclusion!!! Pen drives are smart ways and only smart people know, what to use.

Hi,
Pen drives are the future. In case of CD/DVD writing you need time for burning the CD/ DVD. And you have to bye a new blank CD/DVD everytime you have to store data. Even if you buy a ReWritable CD/DVD you have to Erase and Than Burn it which takes a lot of time and it is not easy to carry a CD/ DVD. Pen Drives are the best option for Remote storage. Just copy and Paste. every function can be performed on these which you can do with your HARD DISK. And easy to carry. Now every Mother Board supports USB. So Pen Drives are the wise Choice.

Kingston and Sony are better options.

Pen drive is cheaper bcoz an 128 MB pendrive will cost you around R.900 but if you go for a CD writer it will cost u rs.1300 approx but again if u wanna send some filed to someone in other city CD is the best option.

yes as u can buy pen drives of 1 GB @ Rs 1100 &can use in anycomputer. but cd writers are come in range of Rs1400 & also require cd which is of 700 MB& not easy to handle every where as easy to carry pen drives .

Pen drives are cheaper than Cd- writers. Agian you have to consider other benefits also.
It is not taking time to write data.
Its portable, lightweight.
No need to purchase blank cds.

you aren't gonna want to give your pen drive to others when you need to give them a large file.

the pen drive is reusable, but if you need to make backups, or hold data for a long time,

I would say so becausee they are alot cheaper now and you can get a big ammount of memory on them and it is very cheap i would definelty say to go for the flasd drive, pen drive as these are the new more modern way to carry about software and datafiles.

Sony pen drive (also called flash memory ) is good.
Not cheaper than CD writer.
Both serve different purposes !
