No...thankfully I was not affected by yesterdays tornado. But the wind where I live...which is just down the M4 near London was really strong. Almost Hurricane force.
I did not realise until yesterday that the UK has the most tornado's, but must of them happen away from populated areas. But of course, they never get has big has the ones they seem to get in the USA (tornado valley)

Ilive just round the corner from it and as I was bunking off work yesterday I was walking down the road to Gregs for a yum yum when it happened.
Thankfully not near enough to do anything to my building but it was windy! Walked down the road to see the damage though- i didnt even know we had tornados in UK! LOL

These mini-tornadoes are called micro-bursts in America. Only tornadoes, if they touch down, otherwise funnel clouds. I have been in four in four in Shoreham-by-Sea. Last for less than a minute. One caused extensive damage blew the roof completely off my boat, one nearly killed me as a car driving blind knocked me down, one blew me off my feet, and yesterday it was only 61 mph and I was only disorientated and soaking wet, I think I either got spun around or turned around to try and brace myself against the multi-directional winds: I was in a right confusion. Not bad yesterday for me. Lots of people to report tornadoes in SE England. First one for me was in the late seventies.
