i'm going to a blues game on the 17th, im from tennessee, and i dont want to offend any natives of st louis with this question, but i'm kind of nervous about hitting some bad parts of your city. my town of nashville is certainly not the cleanest and safest city, but i know my way around so im used to it. i was wondering where the best place is (like the question states) to park and get around for a Blues game. I've been to st louis once but it was during the day, the night can make things more difficult/confusing. i'll pay whatever in order to park near the arena with hopes of simplifying the situation. if anyone could offer some advice i'd appreciate it. thanks.

There is a multi level garage next door to the Scottrade center. Just south of the arena (next to metro link stop) is a small lot for 15. Two blocks to the west of the arena is Union Station with a pay lot. Finally, if coming from Tennessee, take the 3rd street exit on the Illinois side of the river (if coming up 64). Park in the Casino Queen parking lot (free and patrolled/guarded). Then you can take the Metro Link to the arena. There is a stop right at the casino and directly infront of Scottrade Center.

There's a parking garage right next to the stadium, attatched to the Sheraton (you'll see it from the highway). It costs about 5 or 10 bucks but that's where we parked when we visited st. louis and we had no problems. It's within walking distance to the game and it's also convinient.

Good Luck!

Alot of the parking can be either by parking on the street, or at Union station about 3 blocks away. You cant help but to see Union Station either. The best part of Union Station too is the resturanuts, you have in the back outside The Hard Rock Cafe, a Hooters. And theres 2 other resturants too, ones sports themed too.

You'll be fine. It's well lit with a lot of parking near the rink. The bad parts are a bit further north. Downtown is actually very safe.

Don't believe all the reports about STL being the most violent city. It's a load of crap.

There are parking lots near the venue. You should have no problem parking close and walking to and from the game with the crowd. Most of downtown is safe.

I would drive up close to the arena and look around for parking lots. There are some lots pretty close to the arena. I would get there plenty early to guarantee a close spot, especially since it's so cold out.
