For stamped metal connectors, look at the Simpson Company's website. They make Strong Ties (galvanized steel framing connectors) in about 1 billion different sizes and shapes. (Ok, maybe not 1 Bn, but tens of thousands.)
Their connectors are usually nailed together, but some types use screws or bolts.
They have a full-line catalog, as well as smaller catalogs, including plans for homeowner projects.
USP also makes stamped galvanized framing connectors.

It depends on the kind of connectors you mean. There are heavy plastic kinds that you slide the 2 x 4s into, which then hold the 2 x 4s at the correct angle for the roofline or corners. Typically you nail or screw the 2 x 4s into these.
There are metal joist hangers (stamped sheet metal in a variety of shapes, usually with a lot of holes in them, so you can select where to nail or screw). With these, you have to position the 2 x 4 correctly on center (16 or 24 inch centers, usually), but the joist hanger holds the 2 x 4 in place.
If neither of these answers seems right, please describe the connectors in more detail so we can have a better idea which joints you're trying to connect. Thanks.

By connectors I assume you are trying to attach the 2x4's to something. Home Depot carries all sizes and shapes of galvanized hangers so you can connect dimension lumber with out toe nailing

Certainly without specific detail of your needs I suggest Rusting is spot on.
