Just be very careful with anyone on-line... I am not saying that all people on-line are bad, but they are really a stranger no matter how nice and how long you have been chatting...

It really depends on how long you have chatted with this person. If you feel that you know this person (which I highly doubt anyone can truly know someone) then you should question it. Ask, ask, ask! There is never enough questions. Request to see photos, ask about his family, etc. I personally would never meet anyone over the net but I have heard some good success stories especially one within my own family. Hope you have much luck.

Meet him in a busy and well-lit place. Your best bet is to meet him for a light lunch at a place you are familiar with. Also, let at least one other person whom you trust know where you're going. You can never be too careful.

If you feel you must meet him, make sure you meet him in a busy place so there is plenty of potential help around if things do not go as you planned. You choose the place you feel safest meeting him at.
