Best answer......go to the leader in your church. Some religions see all forms of sexual gratification a sin, if it is out of the realms of marriage. Masturbating could be considered same as thinking of having sex outside of marriage. Which, to some thinking of the sin is just the same as commiting the sin.
If you are married it depends on how you and your spouse feel about it.

I'm not a Christian, so I don't know. However, let me ask you a question. Would you masturbate in front of your wife? Would you masturbate in front of your parents? How about your children?

There is a question here of morals. And in today's society, it is generally considered okay.

Masturbation can bring about a fixation and feeling of loss of power. To some degree, it shuts off a person's knowingness and sort of enters him into a form of unconsciousness. It is an introverting activity. It generally consists of pulling up pictures in the mind or creating pictures.

I've never encountered any script that claims its a sin. Contrary to some beliefs, it does NOT make you grow hair on your palms or make you go blind. It addition to feeling good, it's a great solution for abstaining from sex. As far as I'm concerned, it is not a sin because it is a perfectly healthy human behavior (as long as it is done privately and not in excess of course). Mutual masterbation can also be performed as an act of intimacy. So where's the harm? Who is it hurting?
