I can only tell you my personal experience. I have a very stable high performance laptop built by Alienware. I had no issues with IE 6 and have had nothing but problems since installing IE 7. Problems include crashes and lock ups. It doesn't seem to "play well with others" as it has issues with both my third party virus scanner by AVG and my Spyware software from Stopzilla. I had no issues with either in IE 6. Perhaps its just a matter of an update or something but I'd rather just uninstall it and use IE 6 if I can. I haven't tried yet and I have a feeling our friends at MS won't make that easy. Maybe I should ask how I can uninstall it here!

IE7 is better in terms of the new functions. However, IE7 encounters a lot of problems with other existing applications installed on the computer thus requiring you to uninstall/reinstall some programs and it's being targetted as the victim for spyware. IE6 is quite stable since it has already been tested for a number of years already. I should say that you download the IE7 only after months that it has been introduced in the market. remember that WINDOWS OS is very prone to viruses.
Good luck..Ü

I upgraded to ie7 some months back and that's nicer to determine than ie6, yet not extra reliable, and that's painfully sluggish to open a sparkling tab - besides the shown fact that it does have tabbed surfing so extra suitable than for that reason on my own. As others will little doubt factor out, the two Opera and Firefox are far much extra suitable ideas. you may consistently get carry of, attempt, and un-set up them in case you dont like them!
