Sounds strange i know but its for tourney pages, i want a background on the main page only! Any help most appreciated.

its like having no drink at the restruant.
don't order it.

when you use the

where bckgrnd.jpg is the picture, or sometimes color

just change that line to

instead.

or simply put, don't use the background command.

if U want to make the main page only have a background and else have no back ground (the white background) simply in the main page put the tag

and on the other pages make the tag only that will keep the background as it is white page
Note:
there is no way to make it transparent :D

You can do this type of formatting within your CSS (Cascading Style Sheet), which is where all the formatting information should be for your web pages anyhow. Just attach a different style sheet using the background image in the body to the home page, and then use the other style sheet within the rest of your web pages without the background.

There's allways a background. Why not just make it a pleasent color or something? or just don't put anything in?- just leave it as it is.
