I dont need, actually, emancipation information. What I need is emancipation alternatives. I know that in Cali all you needed to have was an informal agreement between parents and child. Or there were other alternatives but they all were almost as easy as that. With an informal agreement you could move in with a family friend or relative. Is it that simple here? (in Florida)

Please give me sources. I dont need hear-say, I need legalities.

There are emancipation laws in Florida. It’s called removal of disabilities of nonage. Check Florida statues, domestic relations, chapter 743—all you have to do is google it. But, be aware that in the state of Florida your parents have to be the ones to file the petition and you have to meet the requirements. ONE of the requirements is that you have to prove to the court that you can fully support yourself. If you cannot prove that, then it won’t be granted. Living with another party and depending on them for even partial support is not fully supporting yourself.

A parent can give a minor permission to live somewhere other than home (ie with a family member) provided that it’s a safe and appropriate environment. But if that person does not have some type of temporary custody then they will not be able to do things such as enroll the minor in school, consent to their medical care, etc.

he cant use your house as a residence because to be emancipated you must be living on your own, paying rent and utilities, have a full time job, transportation, means to pay for all of your bills, insurance, etc WITHOUT help from family, friends, or the government. so unless you are willing to actually charge him rent and such, which i doubt, he wont be emancipated.
