I would sugggest a VERY Public place. You do nto want to be alone with some one you meeting for the first time.

Lunch is a good, safe first date. It can be as long or as short as you want. You may meet hime in person and decide 20 minutes is plenty! OR you may discover you have met your soul mate and talk for hours.

you have never seen this guy, he might be completely different in person. a friend with you can be great help.

make sure to stay in a real public place -restaurant, club, etc. don't go someplace alone with him. don't get in a car alone with him . meet him someplace, don't let him pick you up.

stay in control, don't compromise your safety, stay public, you control your transportation.
