I've noticed on a lot of my questions and answers that people seem to be from all around the globe. I wanted people to tell me where they are from, and what they like about where they live. Me? I live in Portland, OR, USA. I love the mountains and coast being so close. I love the rain and everything being so green. I want to travel someday, but for now I'll live through you!

what I like the most is that, people are so warm and friendly, but they seem to be very formal.Hey, I'm informal! also the weather is cool and the cities are beautiful.all in all, life's cool.

I live in San Diego, CA (USA). I've lived here for six years now and still love the city as much as I did when I first came here. I love having the Pacific nearby (we're also a few hours away from the mountains AND the desert). I love having sunshine 300 days out of the year.
I've been to Portland a few times and that city is absolutely beautiful especially at night.

I'm writing to you from Salt Lake City, Utah. The best thing about this place is the access to wilderness only 15 minutes away from downtown. The city is just west of the base of the Wasatch mountain range & I see beautiful sunrises over those each morning. Driving there, you'll find hiking trails, forest woodlands, rivers, waterfalls, wildlife, and biking trails in the summer that are ski/snowboard trails in the winter. The 4 seasons here are great. Born & raised in Los Angeles, I moved here 3 years ago and am enjoying the snowfall. Never seen it before now except on TV or the movies. The air is cleaner, people are nicer, and the streets are safer. There are several Nat'l Parks in the southern part of the state I plan to visit.
I've been to your neck of the woods & it is indeed gorgeous. Stopped over there on my way to and from Spokane, Washington. Peace, Love and Blessings.

I live in Melbourne Australia. Not far from the sea, not far from the country and hills, not far from a vibrant city - not much chance of natural disaster (except bushfires, but I don't live THAT close to the country, maybe an hour. Nice hot summers, not too cold in winter ( we don't have snow,it doesn't get that cold except in the mountains) Pretty safe - never ever seen a gun! What more could you want!

I live in Perth Australia.
I used to live in Sydney.. but i moved here on my way around Australia trip.. I loved it here so much i had to stay.
Its clean and pretty. Not only the wild flowers, the crystal clear blue oceans. But the people are friendlier.
Its like stepping back in time compaired to Sydneys hussle and bussle.
That i did enjoy very much.
But i am very much settled in the West.
Plus the awesome site of watching the sun set over the water.

I am from Slovenia. It is a small country but developed. I love about Slovenia, because nobody know where it is and than some people/tourist enjoy discovering it. We also have mountains and coast quite close, we have lots of forest....

peoria, illinois ...and i like the winter. though i complain about it, i wouldnt change it =)....we got 12 inches of snow last week! and i love the spring here too, its very refreshing
