Haole means foreigner... someone who doesn't live in hawaii.

No... You can't make gross generalizations about people based on race or where they were born.
I'm sure Hawaiian folks who live on the mainland are just as misunderstood by the locals as the average Haole who lives in Hawaii if not more.
People are people no mater where you go.

not everything u list applies to people from hawai'i only...i could prob say the same thing about most of my close friends....all do the same thing including calling my parents aunty and uncle cept we're not in hawai'i. i do know what you're talking about though....not sure if you're more just discussing that you're proud to be from hi? def more hang loose there though....
