No. Those are two very distinct things for me. I often find I want what I don't need. I don't "need" a whole lot. :)

I want to love, and I want to be loved in return. I think that's the greatest thing a person can do with their lives. But is that what I need? I think so. I think we all need love, as much as we need air and water and food. We need the human touch, the one thing that makes our lives different from the slug that leaves it's slime in the grass. But of course, there is so much more that I find myself wanting. I want to finish med school with flying colours, I want to own a practice, I want a nice house, I want an omelet for breakfast, a seat on the bus. But none of these would matter without love. I may not have it now, but I know it's on it's way.

yes, and sometimes i think i need things that i really only want. i am trying to get a grip on this, because a lot of things we think we need are really just junk cluttering up our lives! Let's just focus on being happy, healthy, helping each other and enjoying life!

"want" = desire
Well if your needs are being met than you will never want...
However what we need, may not be what we want....
and
what we want, may be just what we need..
