Well it can correspond with high blood pressure and heart palpitations, but they wouldn't be the cause.

As someone else mentioned, cold sweats often happen during a period of severe illness or trauma. If you're not sick, then there are other things that can cause it.

I have multiple foods allergies and I can get periods of high blood pressure and heart palpitations with cold sweats when I've accidently eaten something I'm allergic to. Panic attacks and anxiety can also be factors in this as well, and can be caused by allergic reactions.

You may also want to keep record of when this happens, what times of day, any thing that you eat that day or anything unusual that happens.

It can be caused by stress, but its rare unless you've been through some major trauma such as rape or other violent crime.

If you are having cold sweats, its good to get it checked out by a doctor. If you're having problems with high blood pressure or palpitations, you DEFINATELY need to go see a doctor. Even if its just to rule out a heart problem. Better to be safe rather than sorry.

yes!i have looked at the internet for u(:

See your doctor if you suddenly begin to sweat more than usual or experience night sweats for no apparent reason. A cold sweat is usually your body's response to a serious illness, anxiety or severe pain. Seek immediate medical attention for a cold sweat, especially if you have symptoms of lightheadedness or chest and stomach pains.

Also talk to your doctor if you notice a change in body odor — it may be a sign of certain medical conditions. A fruity smell, for example, may be a sign of diabetes, and an ammonia smell could indicate liver or kidney disease. In addition, a rare condition known as fish-odor syndrome (trimethylaminuria) causes an odor similar to rotting fish. People with fish-odor syndrome have a defective gene that prevents them from metabolizing trimethylamine (TMA), a natural byproduct of the digestion of some foods, such as saltwater fish, eggs and liver.

Migraines cause changes in your body temperature. Pain can cause cold sweats. "A surge of pain-sparked adrenaline can force open your sweat glands and shut down the blood vessels in your skin, making you sweaty and cold." [see sources] feel better :)
