Firstly, dont listen to that STUPID!!! person above who said once files are deleted and not in recycle bin u cant get them.. Let me explain.
A file as everyone knows is basically a part of the harddisk (harddrive) that has been written with the data that makes up the file.
When a file is deleted it is not actually deleted but rather this data is marked writeable. This means the data is still on the harddisk as anything else is and can be retrieved with programs.
Think of a piece of paper...
You write a word on it, this is like a file... when u want to erase the word you can put a line through it, scribble thorugh it, use white out etc, but the word is still underneath.
This is what happens with deleted files, new files you install, load, download off the net will write over the top.. The easiest way to make a file on a harddrive so it cant be found is to erase/format the harddrive many times or even write files, thus burying the file under layers of data making it hard to piece together.
Anyway back to the Question.
You can find deleted files, as simple as downloading a freeware/trial program hopefully if you have only deleted it recently and havent installed any programs since.

I highly recommend Active@ Undelete. I killed an external hard drive I had once by unplugging it one too many times - Undelete was able to recover most if not all of my files - even after a partial reformat. It runs about $40 and is entirely worth it. You can download a trial version to see if your data is recoverable, and then buy the full software if you feel you need it.
If your files are gone from the Recycle Bin, that just means they're not in the Recycle Bin - not that they're gone from your computer. A pretty basic computer mistake.

You can go for system restore to a backdate.
Other ways are some file recovery programs/utilities. 'PC Inspector File Recovery' is a good free download software.
But be careful, it depends on how much work has been done after you deleted files. If the data area is already overwritten, no or partial recovery is possible.
