As a retired Englishman ( English language and Literature scholar) living here quite happily for 14 years, I would like to point out to AIEnglish that his organisational title is an oxymoron:-
Please call your organisation the american institute for american language proficiency, since you have bastardised our language in the last 200 years into an amalgam of revolting grammatical and constructional disasters.
Your language is as far apart from English as Portuguese is to Brazilian.
