And where is Solomon's mines?
Is it a myth or buried under the sand somewhere?
Why is the Arc so important and why was Hitler obsessed with possessing it?

Hitler was obsessed with the powers of Egypt and the lost Arc and it is written in diaries Romel the Desert Rat tried to assassinate him and that was one of the reasons they thought he was insane about religious beliefs and the Jews no doubt.
But my question is why? For the power?
Or to destroy it or to be G-D? And where is it? Do you think a government has it? And do we really know where the mines of Solomon are? I thought that the arc was hidden under the old temple of Solomon and that maybe it was transfered to his mine? Maybe that is the only treasure there?

According to the tradition, Arc contains the original stones of the Ten Commandments, written by the own hands of God. Can you imagine how significant it can be finding it?

Supposedly it is located, according to some, in Ethiopia. Since nobody has actually seen it, who knows. I don't know if Hitler was obsessed with possessing it. Methinks you have seen Raiders of the Lost Ark too many times. It is known as the Ark of the Covenant, where supposedly the tablets Moses brought down from Mt. Sinai, are stored. These Covenants, or Laws, are considered Holy, an Ark is an old term for Vessel, or container. King Solomon supposedly kept all his treasures in a mine. I can't remember where it would be located in todays geography. Google it and I'll bet you get your answer.

Supposedly the Ark is in Ethiopia on some island being guarded by a succession of family members who were told to watch out for the Ark back in a time when ancient Israel was razed.

Hitler was not at all obsessed with the lost Ark and I am not sure why you have got this mistaken idea.

Hitler did not care about any tokens of religious significance other than possibly the Spear of Destiny (which may just be something invented by Trevor Ravenscroft in his 1973 bestseller of the same name) . It sold books, I suppose. The spear now resides in Hofburg Palace in Vienna.

The Lost Ark (with a k) is found in the middle ground between light and shadow, science and superstition. It lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. Next stop - the Twilight Zone!

Mount Ararat, Turkey. One of our Apollo astronauts has been to that site, and written a book on it (Michael Collins comes to mind...don't think Aldrin did it, and Armstrong is too overwt to have made the hike).
