I made this poster for a movie night that my grade is sponsoring at my high school.
Rate it on a scale of 1-10 and tell me what you think about it, please.

King P: so this isn't a place for my question, however you could notice that about 10% of all the questions asked here are along the lines of "why does everyone's butt smell?" or "is that right woman have more like sex then man?" <- real questions btw.

I realize that the brown draws the eyes to it... but that's obviously done on purpose so that the viewer looks at the main title thats in the brown, so that its the first thing he or she sees - that there is a movie night.

It is a litle difficult to rate your poster, only because the brown portion in the back draws my eye away from the rest of the poster. If you were to change the color, I would give it an 8. Color choices can make or break art. When you want to draw attention to a particular portion, try using primary or vibrating colors like blue and red. The placement and choice of the artwork is excellent and well balanced. Brighten it up a bit so it stands out from any wall or other background you attach this to. Good job!

10. Because I want best answer.
But seriously, I't put it at an 8 or 9. it's not too complex which is good. The brown does suck, so I docked a point. The movies were good so I gave a point.

10, definitely....brown and baby blue is a classic color combo and it certainly pops so the mesage doesn't fade with the rest of the poster....my only critique is that the background yellow and baby blue is too complementary, they're bothh too light and bright...i'd go for and indigo or cerulean instead of baby blue to tie in with the deep red and brown so it looks unified but not flat...regardless, that is jut my personal opinion so you're free to ignore it because the poster is great...i applaud your choice of brown, it is not an ugly color, people just can't appreciate the fact that it doesnt have to be all cheery and bright in order to be artistic or beautiful....2 thumbs up! i love it!

Well, I give it a 10, not because I'm looking for best answer, but because I mean it! I'm an artist, not computer graphics, just old fashioned paper and pastel/charcoal. I think it's very eye catching, colorful, and gets the point across. I saw your web page. I think you're very talented and it looks like you have a bright future.

As a graphic designer and got my ow advertising agency for 17 years.
Its in my eyes to much on a small space.
People don't see where to look and what the message is.

An 8, because I like the brown thing. Those kinds of shapes/designs always look like representations of energy to me. Like the swirly things that are on comedy central sometimes, around Mencia's ads. Well, I like it.
