I ate a corn on the cob at 1sh in the afteroon, then at 6 o'clock I noticed bit of sweetcorn in my poo. That has been the first time I have eaten sweetcorn for months!
I thought it took about 12 hours to digest food, is there something wrong?

I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and I can tell you that it can take from 30 minutes to 4 hours to digest food everyone is different. if you didn't have much in your stomach beforehand then digestion will start pretty quickly, I wouldn't worry about it its not serious

Sounds to me as though your digestion is working really well. Your bowels should empty about half an hour to an hour after eating but it is the previous meal you are getting rid of. So you can rejoice - you are in the minority - a study conducted by Cambridge University found that average transit times in the UK are around 48 to 70 hours. I am a colon hydrotherapist and have clients who's transit time, when they first came to see me, was up to two weeks.

Corn due to its protective shell does not digest. In fact its passed rather quickly through your digestive tract.

Corn doesn't digest so it's just laying in your stomach then traveling through the intestines and when you do have to poo, it comes out.

corn is very hard to digest and it will travel through your gut quite quickly, however your body will have absorbed some of the nutrients from the corn. remember everyone is differant and our bodies work at differant rates, so i think you are very normal.

Depends on how much food you have in your tract, the quicker it comes out, with some people anyway. Others take up to three days to have a bowel movement. It's normal.

nothings wrong, corn does not digest so goes straight through your system and back out again.
