24x³ - 24x² ≠ 24x¹

That expression can no longer be expanded/simplified, so I think you must factor it. The common monomial factor is 24x², so
24x³ - 24x² = 24x²(x - 1)

i think you simply need to simplify the equation:

the common factor is 24x^2 so the answer is...
24x^2(x - 1)

I'm not sure what you're asking, but if it's I suspect, you have to factor it.

24x^3 - 24x^2

First, pull out the biggest term, for factoring.

24x^2 (x - 1)

And that all there is to it.

No, it isn't -- it reduces to 24x^2(x-1). Clearly, NOT 24x...

well that is the answer
to factor you would be looking at (24x^2)(x-1)
but I belive that that is as small as you can get it
like taking apples from oranges, you can't do it
