birthday is insignificant;
men should be proud not because he was born or lived
for many years!
but for his deeds , if he has done good for others he will remembered by others in his birthday,
so it is not us to remember our birthday it is others who should remember!!

Birthdays were celebrated as far back as the birthdate of Ismael and Isaac, Abraham's sons. Because it was a blessing to have children and it was a tribute to G-D as a thanks for being his child as well. Yes it is an important day no matter what age you are still someones child even if you are 129 you still had parents and you are still a child of G-D.

maybe not significant per se. but everyone could use a morale boost fom having a part thrown for them. it makes us feel good. and usually the oher people too. and really thats like one of the best things you can do.
