you are at the point in your pregnancy when the baby is gaining the most weight the fastest. typically a woman will gain about 11 pounds in the last trimester. keep in mind that you are almost there, and try not to get too down about your weight. i am at 28 weeks, and i have gained about 50 pounds already. you probably eat a little healthier food than i do, but i am pretty active and dont go overboard with calories. if you have been this health concious during your pregnancy, you should have a much easier time taking the weight off afterwards.
as far as looking chubby and bloated, sorry, but you probably are. with my last pregnancy i started getting swollen around 32 weeks i believe... it sucks, but youve just got to deal with it! your baby is worth every single pound, every single stretchmark, every single cellulite dimple. but thank goodness those all fade after birth!!

More than likely your baby is displacing the weight instead of you gaining or losing the baby is making you for that weight in it's growth so yes this is perfectly healthy. I actually was 75 lbs overweight and when I had my son decided I had to change my eating habits and starting eating right and lost 30 lbs in the first trimester. My hips got wider but I developed more of a form then just the blob belly I had before. I still gained back about half of the weight (15 lbs) but most of that was off after I had him. no worries your doc is monitoring your weight and trust me if he gets concerned he will let you know. P.S. have you talked with your OB about this if not ask him that's what he's being paid to do!! good luck!!

when I was between 30-35 weeks pregnant I put on about 12-15 lbs in a little over a month..I ate healthy and exercised!! The dr. said that the baby may have had a growth spurt right then. Now at 36 weeks I have only added 1 lb. extra since then. Seems my weight is slowing down. You are ok- as long as u stay healthy and the dr. is not concerned you shouldn't be either. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!!

Don't worry about it (i know, easier said than done), I've had three of my own now and I felt the same with both boys, puffy, bloated and about the size of a small continent.
You'll lose the weight post baby and everyone who's saying it's preparation for the birth is absolutely right-you're not going to feel like eating while you're giving birth(no surprises there) but it's hard work physically, reserves have got to come from somewhere.
Plus if your baby is anything like all 3 of mine he or she will have an in-built sensor which will tell him/her to start demanding food the minute you're about to eat yourself-for at least the first 6 weeks. That combined with breast feeding(if you choose to go that way) will have you back to normal in no time.
And as my hubby said to me,when I was a bit hormonal and fed up "you're not fat and horrible, you're keeping our baby warm".

Don't sweat it.You sound like you're doing everything just right. As some of the (smart) others have said, it's not just baby weight, but your body preparing it's self for labor and motherhood. It's natures way of making sure that the baby and you will be OK for a while if all the food on Earth suddenly dissapears! Being as healthy as you are, your body will probably bounce back quite quickly, so really, you've got no need to worry, unless your doctor tells you you're gaining too much weight.

I'm sure that every pregnant woman has days where she just feels fat. It's a big change for your body to go through in a short time. I'm sure everyone else just thinks you look pregnant and not chubby or bloated!
Carry on eating healthily and it will drop off once you have given birth.

Everyone's body reacts differently to being pregnant. My best friend looked exactly the same but as if someone had shoved a football up her jumper whereas I looked like a beached whale. I put on weight in my face, my limbs, everywhere. Don't worry about it and whatever you do do not try to diet, you will be depriving your baby of vital vitamins and minerals that s/he needs in order to have a health life. When you breastfeed it all drops off anyway!!

Your body is changing shape, hips are spreading and fat moving around to make room for the baby to come out. The fat stores answer for breastfeeding was also spot on. That mean person who answered first is not someone you should listen to, or worry about.
Hormones are raging inside of you, that's likely part of why you feel down about your changing shape. Just enjoy this time, soon the word sleep will have little meaning for you.

It's normal to put on extra fat when you are pregnant; it's largely a result of the estrogen your body is creating due to the pregnancy. It isn't limited to a single part of your body, but happens all over. As long as your doctor is ok with the amount of weight you're gaining, then don't worry about it. If you're worried about how you look - I think you'd be surprised to find that many men find a pregnant woman VERY sexy!

Well it is genetic. Your body wants to put on more weight to make sure your delivery of the baby is smooth.
Just keep eating healthy and do some moderate exercise, like mild yoga or something. You will get back in shape soon after the child's birth.
