I appreciate that you are mixing with older group but you must also mix with your own age group. In this way you are able to know the likes and dislikes, the differences between them and of course the generation GAP.
Do not be discourage, have confidence and mix with the two groups and you will be the much wiser person. People older are able to give good advise and able to solve some of the issues that the younger group may not be aware of.
Good Luck

hehe i'm the same way. there is nothing wrong with having friend older than you. personally alot of the people in my age bracket i can't stand, with a few exceptions of course. Look at it this way. The friends you have who are older than you, depending on how close you are to them, look at them more on the lines as mentors. they have been through the issues that you have gone though at your age and they can give you advice that peole in our age bracket can't. they have experience in life. Tyler Perry's Madea's class reunion set it best. you gotta pass a lot of tests in your life. when your in your teens and 20's, you think your on top of the world. you make a few mistakes and that's ok. you are supposed to it's how you are suppose to find your way, but come 30( i don't know what it is about 30 but a light come on and if it hasn't check your bulb) you get a glimps of life. At forty you stop lying to your self. and 50 and about you will be like back the heck up i don't have time for this foolishness. be glad you have older friends, but also keep a few younger one around. im sure they can help you also with words and lingo of todays world. im the same age as you and i don't understand alot of what's being said these days as well. but take a little time to learn some of it to and don't be afraid to ask what it means. it's not stupid to ask a question, just stupid to go without it being answered

What should you do about what you like older people and you can learn a lot from them in every way, and if younger people make you act stupid than go ahead and act like your age, you can be with both group, never grown up to fast.

It sounds like you may be quite mature for your age. You may not want to worry about it too much, but keep in mind that this time in your life is for you to learn and grow. Maybe it is good experience to be with people your age and practice relating from time to time. You may even be able to help some of them mature with your experience. Whatever you do, just don't forsake your youth and grow up too fast... make time to be light and such before you lose the freedom to do it; there can often be more investment in your older years by doing so than you might think. :)

Honey, I understand just how you feel. Most of my friends are much older than me. I'm still in high school. Have you ever tried talking about politics with a teenager? They phase out or go to sleep! lol! I love talking about politics and current affairs.I don't have any friends my own age, except one. My sisters are in their late twenties, so I'm always with them and their friends. They don't treat me like a kid, because I act just like them. I'm responsible and not all giggly and stupid like most teens my age. I don't even look like a teen. It's rare you see a woman as young as me thats six foot tall and weighs 155lbs!

Own it. If that's the way you are, I don't see anything wrong with it. If you really want to connect with people your own age, maybe try an activity or sport where you would have something to discuss. But don't do it just cause you think you should.

30 YEARS OLDER?!!!!? Shocking!!
Alright.......let me cool down...........!
Well, you need not do anything. Go with the one you feel comfortable rather than acting like a 'fool' in front of your age group.

Dont worry about the age of your friends as long as they make you feel happy. I go by this motto ' i surround myself with people that make me happy'. In other words dont worry about their age, race, size etc, you will enjoy life more with the people who make you feel good about yourself!
