Biblical reasons: thirteen is considered wrong as opposed to twelve. Chinese "add" many floors to their buildings by adding 13 to their own fear of four. Si means four and si with a different tone means die. So in addition to 13, 4, 14, 24, 34, 40 - 49, 54, etc. often don't exist as floors in Chinese buildings. Sometimes 18 is taken out, I think that sounds like an insult in the Korean language, and a lot of Koreans live in China.

The Disciples plus Jesus made 13! 12 symbolizes 12 vortexes at work
on our world. And 13 symbolizes rising above the elemental nature of
spiritual things.
Fires used to break out on the 13th floor in buildings because of spiritual
power we don't quite understand. That gave rise to the superstition of 13 being "unlucky"!

People are superstitious and don't want to be on the 13th floor. I used to live in an apartment building like that.

(Although, in my mind, why would it matter? because no matter what label you put on the floor, it's still the 13th floor. Good thing I'm not superstitious! I lived on the 10th.)

i think of that's a western element. 13 is seen unlucky there are some theories approximately this. In asia it isn't the case. In South Korea many homes have not got a 4th floor. some thing with regard to the type 4 looking resembling the chinese language image for dying. additionally superstition. In some homes the flooring will study a million,2,3,F,5,6. from time to time it can be a million,2,3,5,6 ... the two way 13 or 4 or in spite of that's amazingly stupid. whether you do no longer call the floor 4 or 13 it remains the thirteenth or the 4th from the floor.

i don't see any point why there is no 13th floor in all buildings being built. it's a belief but taking into consideration that is only a number then why should you believe in a thing when it has nothing to do with you.

because the building isn't high enough.
Any building with 13 or more floors have a 13th floor - regardless the number they are given.
the number is just a number - insignificant - the buildings doesn't have an empty space instead of 13th floor.
