I would go take care of her and be with her in her last days, unless she did something bad that caused you two to get divorced(infidelity, abuse, ...)

First off, I'm incredibly sorry to hear that awful news, that is really sad. You're not married anymore, so I don't think you have to move to the UK to be with her in her last months. But maybe you two are still quite close. In that case, try to go visit her. A special trip to go see her and to comfort her and the kids (unless they already live with you or have moved out), would mean so much more than a letter. Let her know she has your support. Best of luck with your decision.

She is your ex wife if you have carried on with your life then let it be. I would call and let her know that your prayers are with her
really ask the kids if they think you should write or visit.

Is that your only option? What about phoning her and talking to her about it? You could ask her what she'd like you to do...
I'm sorry to hear about her illness, by the way.

If your children are small ,if you are not now,
you will probably be their caregiver, if they are grown they may still want your support, I say go and be available to them and her..
