IF my brother and I discovered a fire and we were safely outside could my brother come with me when I pulled the fire alarm to stay together? Could my brother help me to make sure I'm pulling the alarm? How would my brother offer assistance to get the alarm activated?

Could my brother and I pull the alarm together if the alarm said"Push in Pull down" could my brother push in the button and I pull the handle? What would I say so my brother knows how to help. Could we read the directions together so we both know what to do.

Nothing fancy. Just pull the lever. As another answer suggested, you could go to Denny's after and discuss all of your crazy fire alarm questions...

heh....in most circumstances a building will not want anyone to stay in a fire. Call me crazy, but I believe that is a liability no insurance company wishes to pay.
The proper proceedure for any layman discovering a fire is to call 911 or the proper emergency service number for your area. If there is a fire alarm, you could pull it......but if you pull it erroneously you could be fined a hefty amount of money.
The best course of action is to be responsible and get yourself out and atleast 50- feet away from any building on fire.....that usually means crossing the street in some circumstances. If you have the proper state of mind call the emergency number and report the fire.....but by no means are you trained to handle a fire, unless you are trained to handle a fire.
Don't be the good samritan that gets trapped inside causing a firefighter to have to go in and save your butt.

why don't you just go to denny's, get some dinner, and read about it in the morning........
