HI!
I will try and explain the difference.....if you bought a suit from a tailor where he measures to make you an exact fit ....and you also bought one of the rack at a walmart or k-mart the one off of the rack could be called cheesy.....cheesy is when something is thrown together or is obviously cheaper than the same thing made by someone else. also ways that cheesy can be used are like a party that you have to buy your own drinks...that would be considered cheesy.
OK....corny is silly, or hokey.......a joke that is not funny it is just kinda dumb ....that is corny. not hip not "with it" is corny.
there are probably more meanings than that but I think I've given a decent idea....thanks for the question!!

One is a dairy product, and one is a vegetable. ;)
On a serious note though, I typically apply the word "corny" to melodramatic romances or dramas, and I apply "cheesy" to action movies and the type of guy that uses lame pick-up lines. I doubt that helps much, but outside of how you use them, I would say they're the same.

cheesy is full of cheese which is made from milk and corny is made from corn which is some kinda plant u grow for commercial

I think it has to do with how long the obvious information was obvious.
Cheesy...only obvious to all of us a short time.
Corny...historically obvious...even dead ppl know that info was corny!

cheesy things are original , but they are over-done
corny things are unnoriginal and have been used more often

Kinda the same if you are talking about romance or movie plots, but if you are talking about food, they mean like cheese or like corn.
I believe they both relate originally to fake smile, say "Cheese"!
