The only people who don't respect the Seahawks are people who haven't seen them play (at full strength).

Simple they don't get the press. They claim a weak division but the Bears division is even worse and no complaints about that. Seattle did blow the Super Bowl, they should have won even with the bad calls, but they got there. Can't root for a team with a mouthy player? Guess will have to watch Disney on Sundays as they all have at least one mouthy player. Seattle's record is better than most this year and that is with their starting QB, RB, TE, LG, C, and RT and one WR off for 4 weeks or more. Oh and they lost to Chicago in Chicago. And they were missing their RB, LG, RG, TE , and WR then. Get used to it. It won't stop. Did Seattle blow the Superbowl, with bad clock management and giving up to big plays (Which they were down to a 3rd string corner and a Practice squad safety) Yes they did. Congrats to Pittsburgh for the win. They earned it. But if you asked Cowher if he wanted to play best out of three he would have said no. It was obvious that Seattle was the better team, but they did not play better that day. That's why they play the games

The Seahawks aren't very impressive. The weak NFC makes gives them a decent record but there's at least a half dozen teams in the AFC that are better than The Seahawks.
Shaun Alexander didn't deserve MVP last year but he won it.
He breaks down at the end of the year and Hasselbeck just isn't that good of a QB.
The Bears would destroy The Seabirds

I think they get more respect than you might think. They are a feared opponent in the NFL. Unfortunately, they are not media darlings like the Cowboys, and the east coast teams. By the way, I follow the Seahawks closely since I watched Shaun Alexander shatter all kinds of records in his high school career at Boone County High School in Florence, KY. It was exciting to sit in the stands on those crisp autumn nights and watch the magic.

How can you respect a team that is known for dropping passes, having a mouthy tight end (Jerramy Stevens) who can't back it up and for blaming the referees for losing the Super Bowl. The Seahawks and there fans can complain all they want about the officiating in that game but it was the bad coaching and clock management that did you in at the end of the first half and at the end of the game. You guys are in a weak division and are trying real hard to give away your lead but you're lucky that the rest of the division is having a rougher year than you.

Not this year they haven't. They can't beat the good teams and only beat the Rams by a field goal twice. Lets face it they are not the Hawks of last year. I believe they also lost to San Fran.

They get what they deserve, nothing!!! They play a soft schedule & don't dominate anyone & they & their coach are STILL cryin' about the beating they took at the hands of the Steelers. How can you respect a bunch of losers?

the nfc is not only a weak conference they play in the worst division in the conference, and have not even competed with the upper ranked teams in the conference...a loss to the bears at home certainly doesnt help

Maybe it's because they play Arizona, St.Louis, and San Francisco twice a season.
