scorpios do you find that you are attracted to a persons inteligence amongst other things?

I'm a scorpio and I totally agree. I think that physical looks are somewhat important because there has to be an attraction there. But above all, a person who is smart, intellectual, and has thoughts and opinions of their own is totally attractive. I cannot be into a guy who is dumb as a box of rocks or who is not intelligent and cannot carry on an intelligent conversation. I love the intellectual, philisophical type...a little mysterious too. I don't like people who are open books. I like to have to try to figure somebody out a little bit. It makes it more interesting...

Most definitely. I'm a Scorpio and the first thing I look for in another person is a good personality. What I find most attractive is emotional depth, intelligence, a sense of humor, kindness and several other things. I won't lie, The outside is fairly important too. You should be physically attracted to your partner. I just feel what's on the inside should come first.
And to Mister ?, You must've met some pretty insecure & strange Scorpios. We thrive on intensity, I know from my own experiences that the more intense a situation is the more excited I get. And we're jealous and possessive because we're very controlling and if something happens beyond our control that we don't like then it pisses us off. I won't lie, we tend to like things our way. We do need to work on keeping an open-mind. I do my best at least and it takes a long time but I can eventually come to accept things that I would refuse at first. It's not one of our strong points. And the last thing we are is cowards, if anything we have a problem giving up and that leads to a lot of self-destruction. I myself can't seem to let go until I'm completely broken and mentally, emotionally, and physically spent. Again, you must know some strange Scorpios.

Generally speaking, most Scorpios are attracted to people with above average intelligence. Scorpio's are ruled by the planet Mars, which in turn rules the Head as a body part. Mars is the planet of Strategy, War, Passion, Physical Work and Intelligence. There is a good portion of Scorpio's that have above average intelligence and therefore look for the same in their mates. You will see that there are a lot of Scorpio's that are in the following professions: Engineering / Mathematics, Medicine, and Military Professions. This doesn't mean that all Scorpio's excel at these professions, but are more apt to pursuit a career in these industries.

Scorpio is ruled by Mars which also rules head of human body. That's why, Scorpions are intelligent. If you have a survey, you would find that most of the intelligent people are Scorpio in every field of knowledge. The reason is, Scorpions are mostly introvert, they don't waste their energy in gossips. They do real work. They us their energy in various fields of their interest, be it politics, art, science, technology or policy making. you will find scorpion everywhere on higher profile.

I kinda follow the scorpio traits , I am a capricorn female, but i also love a smart intellectual male, that knows more then myself. the only boyfriends I've had been scorpios, and its really hard because they tend to be annoyed easy by little things, and i really love them though they are smart, funny, and just serious people and I love it, right now I am having troubles with a current scorpio (ex boyfriend) I love him to death , i am just having a lot of trouble trying to fix the things between us and its not easy, we both have things to work on on ourselves. Hes just stubborn as hell and doesn't want to experience something differnet with me.

Unfortunately that is one of my problems as a scorp:-(
Even though I never really went to college, I have self taught myself alot and am attracted to women with above average intelligence that usually has graduated college (actually most of my friends are either self educated or college graduates) but most of these kind of women reject me for that fact thinking all I will want to talk about is football, basketball , and other shallow things.
But yes, If I date a woman who doesn't capture me intellectually usually it better be something extra ordinary for me to stay.

obviously physical attraction has to be there, but mentally stimulating someones mind can be more fun then intriguing their bodies! :)

i think scorpios cant handle intensity thats why they get jealus and get possesive...they are actually afraid...and thinking wise are very close minded people all they do is just think of a way to get what they want without challenging anyone but by doing it their own way,...smart...but not very brave! not a sign to challenge....its just a sign to have a bit of fun with and then move to the next one
