The system32 folder on my computer has disappeared. My spyware/malware remover (Prevx1) has found malware in that folder, but when I go into WINDOWS, the folder is not there. I doubt the folder has been deleted, because then my computer wouldn’t work, but I can’t figure out why it’s not showing. It can't be hidden. My settings show hidden files/folders. I have also done a search of my entire system, which came up with nil. Does anyone know what could have happened to the folder?

If your Spyware/Malware program found malware in the system32 folder, and you chose to remove the infected objects, the program might have quarantined the system32 folder.

So I would think the program has it in some kind of vault.

Uncheck the "Hide protected operating system files" option.
