If we are talking about an article pertaining to journalism, then you would need to follow the AP style, which is simply putting the most important facts of hte story at the top and the least important at the bottom. It is not like an essay where you coe up with a thesis. You would follow the "inverted pyramid" like I stated earlier. You need a good lead to catch the readers attention first before you even put together the body of the article. What is this article about, because you have to consider who your audience is first before you can do anything else.

First, consider what the assignment asks for, and makes sure you are directly responding to the questions asked in that assignment.
Second, consider your audience. Who are you writing for? Who will be reading your article? For example, if you are writing for a group of scientists, you may want to write using specific technical terms, or if you are writing an article for teenagers, then you may use different diction and one.
Third, write an introductory paragraph. This first paragraph should have your main ideas, and your audience should know what your article is mainly about in this paragraph. If you are writing for a newspaper, then the main ideas need to be at the very first paragraph.
Fourth, continue with supporting evidence in the next paragraphs.
Fifth, write a conclusion summarizing your ideas, but without being too repititive.

Start with an event, then the ppl in the event, then what they did. All events have ppl. Details round out the article. Be sure to write at least two pages.

First, you have to have a good subject or topic to write about...then you need to consider your audience and finally write with passion...
