In dreams, as well as in Scriptures, trees are like unto people....

In both...

Trees = people (exp: judges 9:8, 1 Chron 16:33, Matt 3:10)
Plants = children ((Psalm 144:12, Isaiah 53:2, Matt 15:13))
Seeds = unborn/babies ((Matt 13:4, Galations 3:16))
Fruit = children...... ((Gen 1:22, Hosea 9:16, Acts 2:30))
Vine = evil people or goodly people- ((Hosea 10:1, John 15:5))
Branches = family..... ((Genesis 49:22, Romans 11:16))
Roots = ancestry....... ((2 Chron 7:20, Job 18:16, Isiah 11:1))

To consider a pine tree is to consider it's height..... One who is very tall, very wise, and much older than many.......

To consider the "pun" aspect of a pine tree.... is as one who longs for something that has not been offered or given them.... For to "pine" is to long with a melancholic desire......
