That is a hard one....
Batio has incredible/unbelievable speed and techniques
Hendrix was a pioneer in his day and gave rise to a whole new world of music/rock & roll.
I dunno dude, it's hard to compare because they're both in a little bit of a different category.
Personally, I find Batio's music more interesting. I can listen to more of it than Hendrix, so if I'm going by what I think sounds good to me, then I choose Batio.
What do you think of Jason Becker?

Hmmm... Michelangelo as a 16th century renaissance artist - Jimi Hendrix as a 20th century renaissance blues guitarist. Is this a trick question (lol) or is there a Michael Angelo who plays contemporary blues et al? Sounds suspiciously postmodern to me... who/what came first - the artist or the hype?

WHAT
They were in completely different fields so comparison is pointless
all I can say is, Michaelangelo was the better painter, Hendrix the better guitarist ....... Michaelangelo was probably a better singer than Hendrix but we have no way of knowing that

Yeah, sorry, that is no contest. Hendrix wins picks down. A harder comparision would be Vai and Satch.....

Up to whether I want to have my ceiling painted, or remember the 70's, or follow your unsubtle lure to a web page.
