condoms are good but no condom is 1oo%
i would use something else with it like spermicide gel or something of that nature to be extra safe
all this no sex stuff is crap...just be responsible and safe(no such thing as too safe) and all should be fine.
remember that condoms don't prevent std's either
and condoms are 99.9% effective not 90

There is always a chance of pregnancy with any form of birth control, although condoms should be fairly effective.
My husband and I did natural family planning. I was not ovulating (I was more than a week away from when I was supposed to) and he did not ejaculate inside of me. Guess what? I still got pregnant! And we know that was the time I got pregnant because there was no other time for about 4 weeks before or after.
So if you really want to have sex and avoid pregnancy, see if your girl will also take the pill, or use a diaphram, in addition to a condom.
But know that no form is 100% effective.

Make sure she's on birth control. If she isn't dont bother. She can always get pregnant, condoms are about only 90% effective. 10 out of the 100 times you have sex with her, or 1 out of the ten, you can get her pregnant. So birth control AND a condom.

The only way to prevent a pregnancy is to abstain from sex. Condoms and pulling out are not fool-proof 100% of the time. So that means there is a possible chance you could get someone pregnant. Just be careful and if you can, just do oral sex.

Most BC is called 99% effective, but condoms can break and sometimes when things are "hot and heavy" it is tough to pull out in time.

i am not sure what the chances are, but definitely not close to the 99% certainty of birth control. if you are thinking of having sex and are not ready to accept a child - she needs to be on birth control. you can still use a condom on top of that, but i heard once that you shouldnt use spermacide with certain other forms of protection, possible the pill. sorry, dont recall what. talk to a doctor about it.

Abstinence is the safest form of birth control! I waited until I got married and I don't regret a minute of the wait. Best wishes! Keith
