Yes.

You run a greater risk of it failing.
Everytime a device is powered on and off,
the circuits will heat back up and cool back down.
It's generally more taxing than leaving it on.

The cost to leave it on is less than couple of dollars a
year. Mine uses 750ma of current.
I could figure out what that is, but at 8.5 cents per KwH, it's not worth the time.

Are they on a hire or month to month? in the event that they're month to month mail them a 30 Day word to Terminate Tenancy. in the event that they're on a hire the only factor you could legally do is supply them a three Day word To Pay hire or quit. in the event that they pay interior the three days they have a precise to proceed interior the hire. No......you could not legally enter into the premises till there is an emergency. you could sent them a letter pointing out which you would be on the valuables for an inspection at a definite time (interior of commonly used business enterprise hours). in the event that they don't look to be there or in the event that they don't answer the door you could then legally enter. Police won't be able to get entangled on your tenant/landlord dispute. this is a civil matter. Police in undemanding terms deal in criminal concerns.

You'll just break your connection to the internet. BUT, be careful if you have a wireless router between your modem and your system! You may have to turn off the router and the system, and restart in the sequence 1)modem, 2)router, 3)system to get a connection again!

Depends on whether you have a router in between your PC and the modem or not. If you have no router or firewall program then you possibly leave your PC open to attacks. If you have windows xp with service pack 2 then it already has a builtin firewall. Right-click on the My Computer icon and select properties to view which version of Windows you have.
